School Uniform
KEGS school uniform comprises some branded items, and many non-branded ones. Branded items are provided by Schoolwear Plus, Unit 1, The Bringy Centre, Church Street, Great Baddow CM2 7JW (01245) 491170. These can either be bought directly from the shop, or ordered online. Nearly new clothing
We have a sizeable quantity of nearly new clothing that parents can have for free or a small donation. This includes ties, blazers, jumpers, trousers, PE kit, Games kit, trainers and football boots. This is available to anyone who wants it and the clothing is for students in Y7 up to Y13. However, we have limited stock. The cost of kitting your child out for the start of a new year can be expensive and if it proves to be a struggle do get in touch with Mr Milliken (kmilliken@kegs.org.uk). We can arrange a time and location in the school when you can view the nearly new items and take what is needed.
Dress Code
- All uniform must be clearly labelled.
- Students should be correctly dressed in full uniform and smartly presented at all times, including while travelling to and from school.
- Blazers should be worn unless permission is given otherwise.
- Jewellery should not be worn at any time apart from sixth form students who are permitted to wear one simple earring per ear. Other forms of body piercing are not acceptable.
- Ties and shirt buttons should be done up to the collar and shirts tucked in.
- Hair should be of a sensible style; longer hair should be tidy and tied back.
- Final decisions on any particular uniform issues are at the discretion of the Pastoral Deputy or Assistant Headteacher.
Insurance
The school does not have an insurance scheme covering the personal belongings of students, so please make sure that all clothes and footwear are clearly marked.
