SCHOOL UNIFORM AND DRESS CODE

REQUIREMENTS FOR SIXTH FORMERS

 

Sixth Form Boys' Uniform

Trousers
Dark grey or black (no corduroy, canvas or denim).
If worn, belts should be plain in design and black.

Blazer
Black with School badge.

Shirt
Any coloured PLAIN shirt.  PATTERNED shirts are not allowed.

Shoes
Black shoes.
Suede shoes, boots, trainers, track shoes and black or brown shoes with crepe or other non-matching coloured soles or laces are not permitted.

Pullovers
Plain black v-necked pullovers.
Sixth Formers may wear plain black waistcoats.
   
Sixth Form Tie
T
he standard tie can only be purchased from the school shop.
There are special ties for Prefects, House Captains, Head Prefect, Deputy Head Prefects.
Service Ties are awarded to those who make significant contributions to school life.
   
Socks
Dark coloured socks.                           

Coats
Dark coloured overcoats to cover blazer, no denim.

Scarf
A School scarf is available, or dark scarves can be worn.
                                  


Sixth Form Girls’ uniform


As above.  Girls may wear black trousers or otherwise a black skirt.  Slit skirts are not allowed.  Skirts should be worn just above the knee.

Dress Code (more specific details in work organisers)
Students should be correctly dressed in full uniform and smartly presented at all times, including whilst travelling to and from school.

Blazers should be worn unless permission is given otherwise.

Jewellery should not be worn at any time except one single simple stud per ear; other forms of body piercing are not acceptable.

Ties should be done up to the collar.

All shirts need to be tucked in.

Hair should be a sensible style – longer hair should be tidy and tied back.

PE
White polo shirt, purchased from the school shop, white shorts, white ankle socks, white crepe soled shoes.  (Trainers are permitted but not with black soles).  Please embroider boys' initials in large letters on the shirt and shorts in House colours.  Holland (Blue), Mildmay (Yellow), Strutt (Green), Tindal (Red).

Games
A towel must be brought for all games and P.E. activities.  A school track suit only from the school shop is required for all boys doing Athletics or Games.  Please attach a name tag to all clothing items for P.E and Games.

For Association Football and Rugby you will require a reversible shirt (Red and black) and black socks with red tops available only from the school shop. You will also require black rugby shorts and football boots.

For cricket the following items will be required - white shirt, white or grey trousers, white shoes, white pullover (members of School teams must wear full whites). Gum shields and shin pads must be worn for contact sports.

Girls PE

A plain coloured poloshirt with a dark coloured PE skirt or shorts may be worn. A dark coloured tracksuit may be worn in the winter. Trainers with non marking soles are permitted.


Final decisions on any particular uniform issues are at the discretion of the Head of Sixth Form.
