HOW TO FIND US

KEGS is located in the centre of Chelmsford, and so has excellent links to all forms of transport. As well as being easily accessible by road, it is also particularly well served by public transport, being a short distance away from the bus and train stations.

By public transport:

Bus: There are countless bus services which visit or terminate at Chelmsford Bus Station in Duke Street, which is a five minute walk from KEGS. Some services also visit a bus stop directly outside the school. More information is available at http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/southeast/essex/home/index.php.

Rail: Chelmsford railway station, operated by National Express Great Eastern, is the busiest through station in England, and is located on the mainline between London Liverpool Street and Colchester/Ipswich/Norwich. Just across the road from the bus station, it is also only a short walk away from KEGS. Full timetables and other information are available at www.onegreateastern.com.

To get to KEGS from the bus/rail stations - walking down Duke Street, away from the railway bridge (with the bus station on the left, take the first right hand turn into Broomfield Road. Walk to the end of the road (by which time the School will be clearly visible), cross at two sets of traffic lights, and you will be directly outside KEGS. Proceed to your right, and enter at the Pedestrian Entrance.

By Road:
The main routes into Chelmsford are:
Southbound on the M25, via the A13 onto the A130
Northbound M25 via the A127 onto the A130
Southbound on the A12 directly into Chelsmford or
Southbound on the A11 via the A414 into Chelmsford.

Please note that there is no parking for visitors at KEGS.  The nearest car park is almost opposite the school, accessed via Elms Drive.
