A DIVERSE RANGE OF EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The school prides itself on its outstanding provision for games, music and drama, and on the dedication of staff and support of parents who enable these and other extracurricular activities to flourish. There are orchestras and choirs, ensembles, concerts, musicals and plays.  There are regular fixtures at local and national level against other schools for all age groups in the major team games (rugby, cricket, football, tennis, athletics, cycling, skiing, golf, basketball, badminton, squash and table-tennis). The School promotes a range of minority sports which have included in recent years rock climbing, orienteering and lawn bowls.

Diverse activities offered include a flourishing Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the KEGS Corps of Drums, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the Young Engineers Club. There are numerous other clubs and societies, such as chess, quiz teams, community service, fund raising for charity, local, national and international visits and trips and foreign exchanges. KEGS has Partner Schools around the world and it's close proximity to Europe means the School has a particularly strong programme of cultural and educational activities abroad.
